I feel so fortunate to have found Kent and Jeanette at Skyline Electric. Kent is a brilliant electrician AND a perfectionist both of which are qualities you want in an electrician. As anyone who has ever done anything home related knows, things rarely go according to plan. Electrical projects are no different. So you need to have an electrician with the knowledge, experience, skills and tools to just “figure it out” when something happens. Kent has all 4. Plus he is a fun and very cool guy. And Jeanette is a dream to work with. She is so nice and also very organized about planning so that Kent can get to everyone. If you have to wait a bit because they are busy, just wait. They are SO worth it!!!!

I needed an electrical panel to be replaced to bring it up to code. An extremely knowledgeable and friendly electrician, Kent, showed up on time and installed the unit. He was careful as far as protecting the floor of course with a dropcloth. He was extremely efficient. When he opened the panel for the first time, I was amazed that anyone could possibly know which wire goes where. Kent assured me that this was an easy task. He did a great job. Thank you, Kent. Kent was knowledgeable and wasted no time in fixing a panel with poor wiring, and fixed my motion-sensor switch issues. He also explained simple how-tos so that I can manage on my own. No fuss, fixed my problem and left me with good information. Pricing was upfront, transparent and honest, no hidden fees.

Who knew an electrician appointment could be such a good, satisfying experience?! Jeanette and Kent are amazing- great communication, friendly, knowledgable, and trustworthy. Kent knew exactly what was wrong and got to work replacing the breaker in my electric panel as well as the outlet on our patio. He was done in 30 minutes but did a thorough inspection, efficient without feeling rushed. I highly recommend them and they will definitely be my go-to referral. Thanks!

Beyond happy with skyline electric. After calling 2 HVAC companies as well as my building maintenance, everyone was clueless on the power trouble I was having with my thermostat. I heard 3 times that installing a low-voltage system in my unit would be impossible.Kent came out and within an hour the job was done. Now I can enjoy having a Google nest without issue! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Beyond helpful. Came home to all power in just my condo unit being out with no obvious problem at the circuit breaker. They were able to troubleshoot the problem immediately over the phone tracking the issue down to my building’s main breaker and walked me through how to reset it in minutes which solved my problem. Professional and were genuinely interested in solving my issue without scheduling unnecessary appointments, sketchy quotes, etc. They will be my go to electricians from now on.

Skyline Electric installed the electrical wiring and GFCI panel needed for our hot tub. They were quick to provide a quote and do the initial wiring prior to the winter weather. They were able to reschedule multiple times due to delays in the hot tub delivery, but when it finally arrived they were right on time to finish the install. Skyline Electric is great! The inspector arrived today and said they did an excellent job! Thanks Skyline Electric!

Let me first say, that I have not officially retained Skyline for their services, but I wanted to give them a shout out for helping me when I was in a bind. I have been trying to close on my condo for 3 months now and have experienced several delays (none Skyline related) along the way. We were finally in the home stretch when my lender flagged the electrical panel as possibly needing repairs. This would yet again delay our closing which was particularly bad timing as our lease is running out and winter is quickly approaching. Due to me talking to Skyline over a month ago to inquire about an initial quote, I knew that the panel was working fine. So on short notice I reached out to them to craft a statement to send to my lender stating as such. I called them at 8:50 in the morning and by 9:50 I had not one but two statements from them that I could send to my lender to help me close on time.I will definitely give Skyline a call when I am ready to do an upgrade. Based on the reviews it sounds like their actual work is as phenomenal as their customer service. Thank you Skyline Electric!!

I can not say enough good things about this company. We had them install 26 lights, install a chandelier/fan box, replace 4 lights, move a light switch, add 2 outlets, move another outlet, and remove 2 different outlets. it was 3 full days worth of work, the guys were here right on time everyday, very friendly, and more importantly, trustworthy. They were responsive with all the questions, and flexible with changes we made after the quote. All the guys really know their stuff and double, if not triple check their work. Kent, the supervising electrician is like a magician when it comes to making things happen that most electricians would have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to make it work. It seemed like Kent researches the latest and greatest technology because he was able to comfortably explain all our options when it came to the different housings and light switches. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of their work and will be hiring them again in the future.

I found this company based on google reviews, and they did not let me down. I had Kent wire my entire security system in my new home. He and his crew were not only a pleasure to be around (which is such a bonus), but cared about the quality of their work and that everything was done properly in a timely manner. Quotes were all accurate and fair. I would 100% use Skyline Electric again for further electrical needs.

Skyline Electric was incredibly responsive and got us an appointment the morning after I called which was amazing. Tom who came and did the work was friendly, professional, thorough and had the can-do attitude we needed after a series of failed attempts getting our internet hooked up. Tom helped us get a cord through the wall into our apartment that finally equipped us to connect to the Wifi. He was extremely skilled and knowledgeable about what to look for and where to insert/pull through the cord. He did it all seamlessly without even a scratch on any of the walls and was in and out within an hour. I would call Skyline and ask for Tom in a heartbeat if I needed anything else!

I called this electrician from a recommendation from my realtor and Im glad I did. Before hiring Skyline, I had another electrician over to figure out why my microwave wasn't working and for 1 hour the OTHER electrician just put the test in and out of the plug, and after an hour they didn't fix anything but charged me. I called Skyline and they came over, understood what the issue was in a matter of minutes and came back the next day with all the supplies to fix my electrical box. Before they did that, I got an estimate from another company and they said it would be 3x more since they would replace the whole unit. Skyline said that was not needed, and helped me find a more adorable solution that fixed my problem! My microwave works now, my electrical box is compliant (before it was breaking all sorts of regulations) and Ive hired them again to work on some light fixtures. It's hard finding a trustworthy electrician and I'm glad I found one in Chicago. Will 100% recommend them to family and friends

Being an experienced and thoughtful consumer, I have a quite clear understanding of what I need, and what to expect.Given that, I needed a really good and smart electrician to put up a ceiling fan in my bedroom. It was a difficult job.. THEY DID IT PERFECTLY... It was installed perfectly, they are BRILLIANT in that they didn't have to rip up my ceiling, which the other electricians insisted had to be done, to snake wires and conduit thru the ceiling and walls.. The wires on my hot water tank burned out. I called and spoke with Ken. He told me they would be here within the hour, and he'd come himself if everyone else was tied up. About 50 minutes later, he was here. About 40 minutes or so later, he not only repaired the wires, he also did on my other hot water tank (I'm in a multiunit). Needless to say, I hope I don't have any other electrical issues, but if I do, I told him I'd be reaching out to them. Thanks Ken!!!

They also went above and beyond by recommending that I not change all of the outlets that I originally was going to since they checked each one and tightened everything and they looked good! Skyline did a great job installing nest thermostats in my condo. We ran into some problems with the thermostat but Kent figured out a solution and didn’t leave until the job was done! They are great electricians, handle the administrative details accurately and efficiently and they take the time to make sure the customer is happy with the outcome!When I called (after reading YELP reviews) I gave info on what problems I had (along with what I thought needed to be done). I was surprised to receive a call from the owner. He wanted to work with me over the phone to possibly resolve the issue (for free!) and eliminate the need for a service call. Who does that?? We weren't able to fix it, so his guys came out. Very professional and friendly. We still had problems with an old fixture. The owner came to work with his crew, but didn't charge me for this extra time. My bill was very reasonable and all matters were fixed. Skyline is now "my" electrician. They are a real find

I cannot say enough great things about Skyline Electric - Kent and Nic did an amazing job installing several light fixtures in my new condo. They were extremely knowledgeable, quick and professional, leaving the place spotless when they left. Jeanette in the office was also really great to work with - very communicative and responsive, even managing to get all of the necessary approval forms to my building's management office within 24 hours (which they hand delivered). I called several electrical companies on a Saturday night, many of which claimed to be "24/7." I quickly found out that they all take a message and call you back to you in the indefinite future.Luckily, I kept trying until I found Skyline. I was quickly connected to Kent. I explained my situation to Kent and he immediately diagnosed, explained, and solved the issue over the phone.It is rare to find someone so knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. My experience with Skyline electric has been nothing short of amazing. I needed help with fixing my thermostat for a line voltage HVAC system. It was a challenging job that not many could do and most of the people I reached out to were reluctant since the task involved was complex. Kent from Skyline electric was brilliant – he was knowledgeable and understood my need from our initial conversation.He even went the extra mile to ensure I was confident and comfortable with this installation by showing examples of successful installations at various other condos. He was prompt and very professional. He even recommended we install a four-position switch that would help set fan speed as required.I am completely satisfied with his quality of service and cost. I definitely would recommend him for any future electrical jobs.

Had a great first experience with Skyline Electric today installing my NEST thermostat in my apartment. Jeanette was great and explained what I needed to provide, Kent was very friendly and knowledgeable, and quickly installed a converter and the NEST, leaving it ready to go in less than two hours. These guys are great. I hired Skyline to fix the front and back lights for our 3 story building in Lincoln Park a couple of years ago, and had them work on multiple things for my own condo today. They are all very professional and knowledgeable!Both Kent from a couple of years ago, and Tom with his "buddy boy" helper 🙂 who were here today, did a great job. And when Tom did not have a tool he needed to cut the kitchen island cabinet, so that it would not crack, he called the office and had the right tools delivered very quickly. Jeanette, who is the owner (i think) and handles appointments, is awesome too. Highly recommend this company!
